CUCM 15 Upgrade – Missing Data in Variphy Reports or Widgets

Applies to:

  • Variphy users who have recently upgraded to CUCM version 15.
  • IT administrators managing CUCM and Variphy integration.
  • Cisco UC engineers troubleshooting CDR/CMR reporting issues.

Common Causes or Issues

  • After upgrading CUCM to version 15, some users experience missing or partial data in Variphy reports and widgets.
  • This may result in missing dates under “Available CDR Data” or incomplete data summaries.

How to Troubleshoot Missing CDR/CMR Data After CUCM 15 Upgrade

1. Restart CUCM Services

  • Log in to CUCM and go to Serviceability.
  • Click Tools > Control Center Network Services.
  • Select the CUCM Publisher in the Server dropdown and click Go.
  • For no data at all:
    • Scroll to CDR Services and restart the Cisco CDR Repository Manager Service.
  • For partial data:
    • Restart the Cisco CDR Agent Service on the Publisher.
    • Repeat this step on all CUCM Subscribers (Note: Subscribers will only list the Agent service).

2. Escalate to Cisco TAC if Problem Persists

If restarting the services does not resolve the issue:

  • Contact Cisco TAC and reference Bug ID: CSCwr20653
  • Symptom: No CDR/CMR loaded to CAR DB and not sent to external billing server.
  • Conditions: Upgrade to CUCM 15SU3a from M1 (PCD) or M2 (Install with Data Import) in non-FIPS mode with CDR/CMR enabled.
