How to change the Reports Repository link or Protocol.

Variphy version 12.2 introduced the report repository. The reports repository is a way of sending and sharing reports via hyperlink rather than sending traditional flat files. The hyperlink can be configured to use HTTP or HTTPS protocol and point to the Variphy IP address or FQDN.

It may be necessary to change the host the repository is pointing to. If an IP address or machine name changes, if your repository is currently pointing to localhost or if you want to adjust the protocol from HTTP to HTTPS. This article will walk you through were to make the changes.

  1. While logged into your Variphy system as an Administrator navigate to the System Settings gear at the top right and select Application Settings.
  1. Scroll down to the Report History Repository Settings section.
    • Protocol = HTTP or HTTPS.
      • When adjusting the protocol be sure to adjust your port to the appropriate port number for your implementation. If using the Variphy default ports:
        • HTTP = port 8080
        • HTTPS = Port 8443
    • Host = IP address of your Variphy reporting server or FQDN of your variphy server.
      • If using the FQDN the Variphy server must be reachable via DNS.
  1. Scroll to the bottom and save your changes.

The change is dynamic and all previous stored repository links will now be updated to the new Host or Protocol.
